Fred Penner was arrested after a Winnipeg Police officer stopped to help him after his vehicle broke down Monday night.
“During the conversation with the driver, 73 year-old Fred Penner, the officer noticed a handgun and Penner was acting nervous and sweating profusely,” said Police. “The officer asked for consent to search the vehicle and located several pills not prescribed to Penner as well as marijuana, drug paraphernalia and 2 large sexual toys.”
When the officer searched Penner they found meth in his pockets.
“While being processed at the jail the staff located more pills and methamphetamine,” police added.
Penner is facing charges of dealing meth while in possession of a handgun, possession of meth while in possession of a handgun, possession of a controlled substance, trafficking, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
