Ubisoft's The Crew 2 has been a controversial game since its release in 2018. It has received a significant amount of reviews due to its micro transactions in game. Unfortunately, The Crew 2 has lost tens of millions of players in these past few months, which has led to Ubisoft making the decision to shut down The Crew 2 servers (due to loss of income). Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stated on December 12th of 2019 that "The Crew 2 was a financial flop, and that The Crew 2 team and I would like to apologize for any inconvenience within our game, and that we will be shutting down the servers for The Crew 2 by the end of Q1 2020." What will the fanbase for The Crew 2 say? Will they expect a possible Crew 3 game? We may never know.
