Entire City of New Castle, Indiana Vanishes During Solar Eclipse

As the investigation into the disappearance of New Castle, Indiana unfolds, it takes an unexpected turn. Initially, theories abound - was it a mass abduction by aliens? Has some sort of government experiment gone awry? But as the days pass with no concrete evidence surfacing, the mystery deepens.
Detectives comb through surveillance footage and analyze every detail left behind in the abandoned city. Yet, no conclusive answers emerge. Whatever has taken these people also caused security and phone cameras to hiccup. In one frame they were there...the next...vanished.
Cars scattered throughout the city are left haphazardly in various positions suggesting they were abandoned in the blink of an eye. Half-eaten food and half-empty glasses of drinks and bottles of beer are there right where they were left on tables in the city's plaza as the eclipse blackened out the sky over New Castle while hundreds of excited citizens gazed at the heavens. There are no signs of human or animal life.
Then, a breakthrough occurs when a retired scientist, Dr. Ian S. Orwell, comes forward with a theory based on his expertise in astrophysics. In his notes, Dr. Orwell states that he suddenly realized that if the city fountain hadn't been running next to him, he most likely would have been shocked by the lack of sound that we usually take for granted. The sounds of life and human habitation. And in another revelation, he notices that despite the heat of a beautiful and unusually weather-perfect spring day there is not a single ant or other insect taking advantage of the huge smorgasbord of food left to them. The objects around him looked familiar from the early footage he had seen in recordings but there was something "off" about them. They were tangible but had a "too perfect" appearance as if created by AI. No rust, no peeling paint, or cracked sidewalks. This was the same city but different somehow.
Dr. Orwell proposes that the disappearance coinciding with the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, was not a mere coincidence. He explains that during such rare celestial events, there can be fluctuations in the space-time continuum, albeit on a minuscule scale. Most of the time, these fluctuations are harmless and imperceptible, but occasionally, they can have profound effects.
According to Dr. Orwell's theory, New Castle, Indiana, inadvertently fell victim to one of these anomalies. As the moon passed in front of the sun, creating the total eclipse, a temporary wormhole opened up, enveloping the city and transporting it to a parallel dimension or distant part of the universe.
The evidence begins to align with Dr. Orwell's hypothesis. Strange energy readings are detected in the vicinity of where New Castle once stood, matching the signatures of potential wormhole activity.
