21 Savage is released from jail on $500K bond after eight months in custody following January racketeering arrest

21 Savage was released from jail Wednesday after posting bond of $500,000 in cash.

The Fulton County Sheriff's Office confirmed to TMZ on Wednesday that 21 Savage was released from custody ahead of his trial. Drew Findling and Andre Belanger, who are lawyers for the 30-year-old rapper, told the outlet that the rapper's release was conditional to him being monitored and staying in Nevada on home confinement. The Atlanta, Georgia native is accused of racketeering. In January, the musical artist, whose full name is Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was taken into custody in Atlanta by federal ATF and Homeland Security agents, TMZ reported at the time. According to The Advocate, 21 Savage's legal team told the judge in the case that plans for his home confinement included paying for a security team of ex-soldiers to secure the premises, and putting together a recording studio in the home.
Chief U.S. District Judge Shelly Dick had previously said that the rapper was 'inclined toward reckless, illegal, dangerous behavior' in rejecting a bond proposal.

His legal team argued that he bought the residence in Nevada due to its proximity to the family of his childhood tutor, who have helped him stay out of trouble when he stays with them.
