La Policía fue alertada sobre el hallazgo de una persona muerta en residencial público Sabana Abajo por una llamada al 9-1-1. Al llegar, encontraron el cuerpo del artista en el edificio 54 y fueron los paramédicos quienes identificaron al cantante.
Según informó el teniente de la Policía puertorriqueña, Luis A. Rivera, el cuerpo no presentaba signos de violencia, aunque la autopsia determinará la causa de la muerte.
El manager del artista, Francisco Pérez, ha expresado su tristeza por la muerte tras reconocer el cadáver. "Anoche estuvimos compartiendo y estaba tranquilo; hoy me había llamado dos veces y le dije que venía para acá a buscarlo", indicó Pérez notablemente afligido quien admitió los problemas de salud del artista.
