After much consideration and looking at his limited options Governor Roy Cooper made the decision to close schools for the remainder of the school year. His announcement early this morning came as a shock to everyone involved. This order of action will force all children in the state of North Carolina to repeat the grade they were in. Rightfully so, parents have been taking to social media to let out their feelings. One parent wrote on Twitter:
“The Governor’s actions have gone too far this time! My daughter was getting ready for her senior year of high school, and now she has to do everything over again! I am disgusted by the decision making that is going on in North Carolina!”
