Famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has stated in a recent tweet, that '
Vou me aposentar do futebol porque minha mãe morreu de coronavírus. Deus salve a todos nós. descanse em paz minha linda mãe' - which, in English, roughly translates to
'I'm going to retire from football because my mother died of coronavirus. God save us all. Rest In Peace.'
This comes as a shock, as just two years before, he signed a contract with massive Italian club Juventus, and the populous of Portugal and all of his fans have gone crazy.
