Rapper with a creative spirit, Lil Tjay, has died according to the NYPD who referred to the rapper by his real name; Tione Jayden Merritt.
It is said that Tjay died Wednesday after being shot numerous times by unidentified goons in the area. Those in the car at the time said that they shot the goons, who are yet to be identified. Two members of Tjay’s entourage were grazed by bullets in the incident, leading TMZ to believe that Tjay was the main target.
Tjay, known for songs like “F.N” and the album-length track “True 2 Myself”, was 18 at the time of his death.
