After a day of chaos and denials, the Chinese health authorities finally confirmed that young doctor Li Wenliang died at dawn from Thursday to Friday, local time.
Li, 34, died after becoming infected with the new coronavirus, according to the hospital that treated him and for whom he worked, Wuhan Central, after hours of confusion about the state of health in which it was considered.
The young doctor, one of the first on alert about the new virus, was pronounced dead on Thursday night, local time, by recognized media in the country, which are controlled by the State and are usually speakers of the official line.
