Cedar Fair, the owner of theme parks around the country, is going out of business. We got the news about 2 hours ago after the company went bankrupt because of the mistake of low gold pass prices.

"It was an honest mistake," said Richard A. Zimmerman, CEO of Cedar Fair. "We wanted all of our guests to have a full theme park experience, but we kind of failed on our low prices. It caused us to not get enough money to move on."

They will be selling all of their theme parks to the Six Flags Entertainment Co. They are a company who owns several theme parks around the country and soon to be around the world. The bad thing is they are not known to be very reliable. With the extra add-on of parks, it will be hard on them to add a new attraction to every park in ownership.

This will definitely be a downfall for many parks in the U.S. Hopefully this gets cancelled.

The new names will be:

Six Flags Cedar Point
Six Flags Kings Island
Six Flags Over Canada
Six Flags Dorney Adventure
Six Flags Michigan's Adventure
Six Flags Valleyfair
Six Flags Berry Farm
Six Flags California Adventure
Six Flags Worlds of Fun
Hurricane Harbor Kansas
Six Flags Carowinds
Six Flags Kings Dominion

Gilroy Gardens will be sold off to Herschend.
