At Mojang, we work our ends off day and night to bring you the best we can. For over a decade, our beloved project "Minecraft" has taken the world by storm. So you may curious as to how we could post such a thread like this. It's not because we're going bankrupt, nor have we had any decline. Instead, we feel that Minecraft doesn't need anymore features than it already has. Every day, people are creating new mods, new worlds, etc. And that's more than we could ever release in a single update. So we thought long and hard about this decision, and we came up to the conclusion that we're going to leave the game as it is. Like we've said previously, Minecraft is not just a popular game. Every day, players are revolutionizing what we all once saw as a simple blocky game.
We thank our players for the lovely journey so far. And here's to a new future.
