Matt Ryan one of the top 5 NFL QB'S tells ESPN reporter that he has thought about leaving the NFL earlier than he ever expected. Ryan went on to say his body has taken a severe beating over the years and since becoming a father of 2 twin boy's he looks at things differently. Matt's wife Sarah Ryan states she will support him in his decision and does not offer any advice, It has to be his decision, his love for the game and his team is enormous and it will be hard for him to walk away. but he recently told me that he understands why Barry Sanders left the game early in his career, "You need to have something left in the tank for you, for family". Ryan also told reporters that as he gets older the pain gets worse and last longer. He is not talking about walking away immediately but will be giving it serious thought and has discussed with the Falcon's organization about drafting a QB next season or taking a serious look at what's out there. For the record, Ryan was sacked over 40 times in 2018 and still feels the hits daily.
