Little details are known about the project, but the popular show "Gravity Falls" is getting a season 3.
The show was "cancelled" for over 5 years, and the fanbase has been going so strong, and they believed they could get the popular show to get just 1 other season. Turns out it could really happen without the power of the fanbase. However, there is one thing that might really upset the fanbase. Disney, the mass media company who owns the show, came out and said this on twitter:
"Gravity Falls season 3. It's happening! Mystery time is about to begin once again!"
Soon, on the replies, the creator said that he never knew this was happening. The post is now deleted due to fans being upset about the show.
Like the start of the article said, little known details about the season exist. Let's dive into the things we already know. The series will NOT have Dipper in Mabel (Main charaters of seasons 1-2) as the star, but they will still appear, just older. The main charaters will be Anne and Jake, who we don't know there parents, but they are theorized to be Soos' (A side character of seasons 1-2) kids by fans. As seen in the ending of the season 2 finale, Soos will be running the "Mystery Shack" (main setting from the show). That's all we really know, nothing about the other charaters. Fans have tweeted about where some of the other charaters are, and whether or they are going to appear. Twitter users say:
"Honestly, they can't leave out Ford and Stan. I think it will cut to them as segments in the show"
"I hope they don't leave out the twins, yes, but I'm wondering about the townsfolk. Like Tony or The Northwest Family."
"I wonder how old Dipper and Mabel will be when the appear, if it has been 5 years in the show they would be about 18 when the appear."
