The Snyderverse lives! Today, Warner Bros. executive Walter Hamada officially confirmed that Zack Snyder will begin pre-production on simultaneous filming of two sequels to Zack Snyder's Justice League. ZSJL has been a huge hit on HBO's streaming service, MAX. It is not known if the sequels will be set for a theatrical release, or will stream exclusively on HBO MAX.

Snyder has already outlined both sequels and will set to work with Christopher Nolan and David Goyer on two screenplays. Nolan has agreed to executive produce and share writing duties on both flicks.

Presumably the entire cast from ZS JL will return. Gal Gadot, Jason Mamoa, Ezra Miller, and Ray Fisher are already contracted to appear. Even Ben Affleck is confirmed as Batman despite his somewhat forelorn experience playing the character.

Unfortunately though, WB has announced that Superman will be recast, as Henry Cavill has once again grown a mustache that he contractually cannot shave off. Rumors of casting a minority in the role continue to circulate with Michael B. Jordan leading the pack of names including Dwayne Johnson, Tracy Morgan, Idris Elba and Javier Bardem also being mentioned.

Snyder says he is elated to be back in the saddle as the creative lead of the DCEU, and Hamada has assured him he will have full creative control. WB has committed $1000 to finance each film. Snyder asked Hamada if that is $1000 for each sequel, or an amount to be split for both films. Either way, he is confident he can stay under budget.

WB estimates the next sequel will be ready for release in 2046. Happy April Fool's Day.
