After Johnny Depp’s lost trial against The Sun in his libel case in November 2020, Warner Bros Entertainment came up with a shocking statement about the actor leaving the role of Gellert Grindelwald in their Fantastic Beasts franchise. Depp resigned from his role in the middle of filming the third film of the franchise, which led to him being recasted by Mads Mikkelsen who took the role of Grindelwald. Months later, Warner Bros. is coming up with another shocking statement, in which is being considered the return of Depp back to the franchise, if he succeeds to prove himself innocent in his next libel case.
