Epic Games hit game, Fortnite, will come off of PlayStation and Xbox consoles in early March of 2021. Epic Games CEO, Tim Sweeney, announced late Friday night on February 19th, that the hit game Fortnite, will be removed from Sony and Microsoft stores. Microsoft and Sony both agreed that Epic Games lowering prices for in game currency V-Bucks was not part of the deal that Epic Games proposed when the game was brought to consoles. Back in May of 2020, Epic Games parted ways with Apple and Android for the same reasons. In 2018 Fortnite became the most played game in the world bringing in 2.4 Billion dollars worldwide. Sweeney also stated that anybody that has Fortnite on their console is at no risk of losing their game. Sweeney also stated that there is a chance in the future that Sony and Microsoft could come back to a deal with Epic Games and bring Fortnite back to consoles.
