El IFFC le otorgó el premio de mejor jugador de la historia a Joshy Melavo y Mohamed respondió.
Sin embargo, Mohamed no estuvo de acuerdo a esta decisión y explicó por qué debió haber ganado el premio: "El fútbol se juega dentro de las cuatro líneas y ahí soy mejor. Marque mas goles, lleve al Watford en mi espalda a la conquista de la Champions una vez más. Es, simplemente, ridículo".
También añadió lo siguiente, "no hace falta que me otorguen el premio, en mi cabeza se que soy el mejor. Si no eres competitivo no eres nadie", sentenció.
