President Trump today posthumously pardoned General Benedict Arnold.
"The General was the great hero of the pivotal Battle of Saratoga but was later accused, falsely and unfairly, with crimes that shouldn't be crimes but that in some people's opinions are crimes, but shouldn't be." Trump said.
"I am honored to bring justice to this great hero of our nation." He went on "and whose name should never have been dragged through the mud by fake news."
