A 18 year old girl who was tragically hit and killed by a train was taking a shortcut across the railway tracks to get home, an inquest heard.
The 18 year old died on Early hours Monday morning on November the 23rd after spending the day and night with her friends.
At around 2:20am that morning, she was dropped off near Newport station and attempted to take a shortcut across the tracks to get home. Unfortunately she was then hit by a train.
Emergency welsh services rushed to the station that evening but Demi-Leigh was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
