Jagex has announced that this year would be the last chance to buy next year’s premium membership with bonds. Starting from February 28th 2021, all bonds will lose their functionalities and can no longer be bought with real life cash. However, they will continue to remain tradable for those that keep it after functionalities have been removed the same way disks of returning did. The reason for this change is because Jagex found bonds cutting into their premium membership profits, too many people have ended subscriptions citing ‘game is buy to win with bonds’ as the reason.
