It has been confirmed by the DragonVale dev team that the game will shut down on August 1st, 2020.
The new dev team, under ownership of DECA, announced yesterday that they did not have enough money to continue with upholding the servers. They have announces all accounts will be deleted.
The dev team have spoke out abou the numerous 'copies' of their game. Many of these copies have polished or improved on the game, but plagiarised it's core mechanics. They say "we know of the many many copies of our game. We think they are very good, and you should play them when our servers shut down."
