After fierce backlash from many parent's over what many call internet "thots", Instagram has officially stated that they will be cracking down on such accounts.
the popular social media site ,which is used by many children , is heavily criticized for the large amount of "influencers" and "thots" on the site. After a recent incident in Australia in which one of these accounts begun messaging a young teenager. This obviously shocked many parents across the globe, and many called for such accounts to be purged from the platform.
after a few weeks of back and forth between Instagram and the parents, the company finally caved in and has pledged to remove such accounts from the platform.
