Tom McLoughlin, the director of Jason Lives. He was gonna make a sequel to that movie. But it got scrapped, due to COVID. Paramount didn't want to make another one. New Line still had the rights. Tom asked New Line about it. Bob Shaye, the Founder of New Line, said "We gave it back to Paramount." Tom was disappointed. He went back to Paramount, told them about it. Paramount lied. They still had it. Days later, Tom got a call from Paramount. They wanted to make it. Tom said "No, You guys just wants money." Tom hanged up.
Tom still wanted to do it. But it got scrapped. He tore the script and threw it.
