The latest escapee from Coronavirus lockdown was stopped by officers on patrol yesterday evening. The distinctive white Vw was hurtling down the road like a rocket when it caught the officers attention. Traffic officer Pc Ellis stated: “the public seem to think this is a joke. The government regulations are in place for a reason and West Yorkshire police will do all they can to enforce this. This serves as a reminder to the public to follow regulation or there will be serious consequences. The driver was reported for these offences and will be sent a summons in due course.
