JYP's popular boy group Stray Kids will sadly be disbanding later in the year. Their company has yet to release an official statement but the leader of the group, Bang Chan, posted the following message on their social media.
"Dear Stays, we're extremely sorry to have to leave you guys after only a few years of our debut, but with recent conditions, it's been hard to maintain our group of 8. We regret to tell you that Stray Kids will be disbanding."
Fans are speculating that the reason for the disbandment is due to recent conflicts among the members. On March 25-27 there was a constant war between members Lee Know and Hyunjin on social media platforms. Both members posting mocking messages to one another and criticizing each other. Hyunjin even released embarrassing details of Lee Know's private life. JYP took responsibility for the situation and disabled their social media temporarily.
Fans are heartbroken by the news but still have hope that the official statement from JYP will shed some light.
