Widowed 68 Year Old Wanda Henley came forward to discuss the issues she was having with what she believed to be Aaron employees stealing right under her nose. After calling local management and corporate she still didn't get the justice she deserves.
Mrs. Henley who lives alone was told by management that her merchandise could be delivered to her home. After dotting the i's and crossing the T's Henley waited for Aaron employees to bring her bedroom and kitchen set that she purchased.
The day of delivery Two young men came into Henley's home ready to work or so she thought. "They seemed so nice," Mrs. Henley said. "After watching the security footage my mind changed after what I had witnessed."
On the video you clearly see that two of the employees joking around and spraying Mrs. Henley's perfumes on one another. After horse play one of the employees went to put together a bed frame. Which they should had done to begin with. But you see the other Employee walk right over to Mrs. Henley's dresser and begin looking around. Suddenly you see the older employee putting things in his pocket.
Mrs. Henley would have never discovered this if she hadn't went with her gut feeling when she went into her room and noticed a few things were not where they were suppose to be. Not only that the two jokesters didn't think the smell of perfume would linger causing Mrs. Henley's asthma to act up.
Immediately she called her daughter Nancy to come over and watch the footage of the two employees with Aaron's. Her daughter was outraged and immediately called Aaron's local store and was brushed off by Management. She then called corporate and they gave her the run around.
"It is not the joking around that bothered me as much as the fact the employee stole from my mother!" Nancy expresses her feelings. "I understand that both were goofing off and just the one guy actually stole my mothers belongings but it makes me wonder if the other employee who was working does the same thing?"
Nancy and her mother are now working on a civil suit against Aaron's corporation. We tried to get in touch with the local Aaron's that the incident took place but they would not comment as they are currently looking over footage and deciding what their next steps should be against the two thieving PT'S.
However, the virus COVID-19 has left many employee's with Aaron's sick at home or on leave. We do know that they offered their employee's an alternative to help cut pay with signing up for unemployment but the employee's aren't guaranteed a job after the economy picks back up.
We commend Mrs. Henley and her daughter Nancy for speaking out. We trust in these companies we spend money too and feel they should do better background checks for the employee's who are being trusted to go into customers homes.
Mrs. Henley is hoping to get to the truth. She did leave us with this comment. "I understand we got to have fun on a job but for the Aaron's employee in the New River Valley area of Virginia who stole from me I hope you never have to go through with losing belongings you worked hard for."
At this time we can not show video or give names of these employee's due to the lawsuit. But as soon as Mrs. Henley has her day in court with no doubt of her winning we will be sure to show the world the Thieving Retail Pirate!
