Roblox is shutting down in 2020. Here's the latest on that. The service used by 115 million people will be no more. Roblox would be closing its doors for good in 2020. These rumors first emerged in April 2019. Shortly after millions of fans had heard of this, the official Roblox Twitter was flooded with messages from fans asking if Roblox was indeed shutting down for good. Roblox confirmed it and said, “It was a fun time, but we make less money now and we can’t hold the servers. We don’t have the money to keep them up.” The Roblox shutdown message stated that the because of the population, the Roblox servers would shut down sometime in late 2020.
