In a recent twitter post by CS:GO Developers Valve, "We regret to inform all players of the Counter Strike franchise of games that CS:GO official servers are shutting down April 19th, 2020. This is due to lawsuits from international anti-terrorists corporations for promoting the act We apologize and thank you all for playing CS:GO." The news has taken many into shock from the long running franchise shutting down. However, there is a light in that P2P and community servers will still remain available for usage.
