The Throggs Neck Volunteer Ambulance Corps received a $2 million grant this morning from an anonymous source. This came just as the corps was starting to experience a strain on their finances. Chairperson Erika Newsome states "We are so grateful that someone out there cares about our work and what we do. This is blessing and a miracle.

The Throggs Neck Volunteer Ambulance Corps has been supporting the Throggs Neck/Country Club/Pelham Bay areas of the Bronx for the last 40 years. The money will be used for their operational costs, training programs, and EMT and Paramedic School scholarships for their members.
