Minister of Health and Medical Services Dr. Ifereimi Waqainabete has assured Fijians that the health ministry is closely monitoring coronavirus and its trends all over the world.
Dr. Waqainabete together with Chief Medical Advisor, Dr. Jemesa Tudravu and Head of Health Protection, Dr. Aalisha Sahukhan this afternoon briefed the media on the Novel Coronavirus.
Dr. Waqainabete assured the public that there are no cases of the virus in the country and that a many-layered defence system is currently in place to ensure that all Fijians are kept safe.
Dr. Waqainabete says that the Ministry of Health strongly advises against travelling to China.
