O prefeito de Codó, Francisco Nagib, renunciou ao cargo. No lugar dele, assume o vice-prefeito Ricardo Torres. Segundo o jornal O Estadão, Nagib apresentou carta-renúncia aos vereadores na última sexta-feira (24). No discurso em que entregou o cargo, o prefeito fez críticas à oposição e disse que estava entregando o cargo porque não aguenta mais cheiro de pobre.
