Em nota feita nesta última quinta-feira, 09/01/2020, a prefeitura de São Paulo afirmou que a cidade de Pirapozinho, que fica a quatrocentos e cinquenta e sete quilômetros da capital do Acre, está fora de todas as estatísticas do índice de desenvolvimento social.
Em entrevista o atual prefeito Wintzel diz "lá só tem mato".
