Minecraft has been around for 11 years. Minecraft official staff members & the CEO of Minecraft have officially stated that it will shut down at 2020, 27th of May. Any fans and players were concerned about the situation and asked why Minecraft is shutting down. Officials say that Markus Persson was retiring. Looking at the situation Markus Persson stated that "Nothing lasts forever when they do they always get lost". People that have Minecraft, the app will instantly get removed from the person's pc.
