Due to many people quitting fortnite, they are forced to shut down. Tom Sweeny, the CEO of fortnite, states that they have to shut down. He is sorry for the people who love fortnite, but a lot of people don't, and they are hating on it. They also struggle with money issues, for how many seasons, skins, and weapons they have produced. Therefore, fortnite is forced to shut down. Again they are VERY VERY sorry to those who play.
