I can't believe it. Our oldest Minecraft anarchy server is finally shutting down. Ever since the amount of memory stored has hit 4 terabytes, the server has been even more glitchy and laggy than ever before, but it was still able to be hosted. Now, it's just impossible. 2b2t has a history of lag machines and hackers, but the TMLM (Too Much Lag Machine) Build of December 31, 2019, has caused a massive increase in memory, shooting up to 8,832K Gigabytes (8.83 Terabytes) in a matter of hours. Plus, the population. There are so many concurrent players a day that the queue is over 7 hours long sometimes! This has contributed to the extreme lag and unplayable-ness the server has had. The reason the server has to be shut down and cannot be reset because of this is because it has crashed the hosting website. The website will not be able to load anymore. But, there is still hope. The admin of 2b2t, Hausemaster, has recruited a team of programming specialists to attempt to access the website from hidden points created just in case things like this happen. They have extremely high security, but like none other. What I mean by that is it will take over 5 years to access the website. This means that the server could possibly be reset in 2025-2026. It is an extremely sad moment for 2b2t. This is an all-time low, nothing like the low player count days of May 2016. In 2025, the server will be completely reset. This means that everything that has ever been built by the community and any grieves that have happened in the history of the server will be gone. Forever. There is no backing up this server with it's large file size. Anyway, stay tuned for more information about this extremely sad moment in time.
