Hello Minecrafters, this is a Blog from Robert Frädiro or also known as the co of Minecraft. We are sad so say this but Minecraft will be shutting down July 3rd 2020. The reason is that we are heading towards bankruptcy and we can’t keep a stable game such as Minecraft with around 91 million players per month.
Even a lot of money donated won’t help the bankruptcy, but there’s always a chance of thriving. If we are able to have a stable money samples we will only be able to put Minecraft up and running around April 23rd 2026.
We hope the Minecraft community understands our struggles in hopes of getting back Minecraft around 2026.
