The program and gaming social media, Discord, has reported on their Twitter media that it will be shutting down the platform in April 2020. The specific date in April of 2020 is unidentified and not verified yet by themselves, but the cause of the shut down is, supposedly "Our add-on called 'Nitro' isn't getting the money needed to keep up with the latest updates of Microsoft, and not making money for the business overall. No money, platform. We truly apologize for this. We will try to create and publish a brand new platform for the 89 Million+ users that have been using Discord since 2015". One Leak Insider named Micheal James, have reported that their new platform will be named 'VGChat'. VGChat will not have the feature that Discord had, servers, Nitro, etc. But it will be similar to the application 'Amino'.
