As some people may know, a hacking group known as "The Lizard Squad" has hacked into Instagram's database stealing many accounts, which is why many people are reporting an issue where they get a message saying, "your account has been compromised". The Lizard Squad is a well known Black Hat Hacking Group which in the past, has took down many big companies through DDoS attacks, such as Playstation and xBox, back in 2014. If you are worried about your details, it is recommended you change your password, especially if you got the, "your account has been compromised", message. As Instagram stated on their official Twitter account, they will no longer operate in the new year (EST).
