A rumor by Gehardz (gehitshard1048) had shown a leaked photo of the CEO of Discord announcing that Discord will shut down, whereas it was meant to be announced in mid-2021.
"It was a great journey, but we must go. We don't have any money to pay the bills for our servers and to keep our website, and apps up.", says Steve Lin, the Vice President of Discord.
People have heard about this rumor and are freaking out, trying to tell their friends as soon as possible.

People are really shocked at Discord for shutting down too early, especially for the fact it was born in 2015 and is going to be shut down in 2022. It may seem like a long time, but it's really sad for the Discord community. Some Discord staff members are also saddened about this.
But, no matter what happens, we will always remember Discord in our hearts.
