Times have been hard for Heavy Metal band Metallica as of recent times. Frontman James Hetfield re-entered rehab on September 27 2019, the 33rd anniversary of late bassist Cliff Burton's death.
This happened after the band's hugely successful S&M2 earlier that month, and the announcement made on social media was a surprise for fans.
This has also led to Metallica postponing the tour of Australia alongside Slipknot, the announcement made promised fans that their tickets would be refunded.
And now, the band have announced that they will be parting ways with Hetfield after 38 years. The announcement on Reddit reads:
'Dear All,
We regret to inform you that we are officially parting ways with James.
We apologise for all of the inconvenience this post may cause, but Lars has "had enough with
his bullshit", and has ordered that James be fired from the band.
We have overheard Lars' negotiations for a replacement, and they don't look pretty.

Rumours have been spreading that Chad Kroeger will become James' replacement, and Chad's comments just confirm it.
"Hey Gamers,
I'd like to say that the rumours are true, I am joining Metallica.
