Fortnight is shutting down as Mental Health experts from Howard, MIT, Oxford and Cambridge Universities and also independent mental health researchers say that the online game is damaging people’s health. The creator “Epic Games” say “they take mental health of their users very seriously and do not mean to harm it.” in an additional statement they said “We are planing to shut down the game or remove all violence from it by the end of 2020. If we do choose either option all data will be unfortunately erased.” Additionally, the governments across North America and Europe are planning to take action and ban the game from being used and downloaded. This is planned for the US, UK and EU countries. Research shows that the game is damaging and increases violence levels of the player.
