In a recent article from Valve corporation, they have revealed a month long period of maintenance, during which Team Fortress 2, a staple of Valve, will be unplayable.

"There have been several problems with the servers as of late, such as melee hit registration, and a few other issues such as random crits, which we accidentally added quite some time ago and have completely forgotten to remove. As much as we regret it, its necessary to do this for our playerbase." says Gabe Newell, CEO of Valve.

"We hope that the work that we're doing will be sufficient, and we'll make sure to add some new unusuals while we're at it."
Gabe Newell asks for our patience as they work, and that the game will be much better off when the maintenance is done.
