BLOOMINGTON, IN- A team of animal scientists from Bloomington Indiana may have found a huge breakthrough in finding a cure for the world's leading cause of death ...by accident. While examining the endocrine systems of many species of European birds, scientists discovered what could be one of the biggest breakthroughs in the history of curing cancer. Scientists discovered within the Mediterannean Gull a series of special nanoparticles right outside the bird's femoral tract. What is so special about these nanoparticles? These nanoparticles provide very focused hypothermic treatments that will target and destroy cancer cells in humans. Scientists are still focusing on how to properly extract these nanoparticles from these birds so they can be used during immunotherapy, but overall this accidental discovery by a small research team from Indiana could be a massive turning point in the development of curing cancer.
