Any TUI , Thomas Cook or RyanAir flights to the Canary Islands will be cancelled due to a massive fire in Gran Canaria. Around 1000 people have currently been evacuated. The mayor told us ‘Any holiday makers that are thinking of coming here , DO NOT COME HERE yet!’
Firefighters are currently having to tackle 3,500 Celsius infernos.
The forest fire will probably last 2 months at the latest from the Gran Canaria Fire Department ESPANA.
West areas will be closed off soon or potentially closed off the whole island.
