If you've heard of rhythm games, you probably have heard of the popular circle-clicking game osu!. It is a popular rhythm game among others because of its wide variety of songs (called "beatmaps") made by the community.
Recently, Dean Herbert (or peppy), the game's developer, has announced that on September 22, 2019, the game will be shut down and online play via Bancho will be inaccessible, due to a recent outburst of account hacks. This has caused the community to band together on the forums, pleading for their favorite game to not be shut down.
As of now, it is 2 months until the favorite of many is shut down. We can atleast enjoy the last bit of osu! while it lasts. osu! experts such as Vaxei, idke, BeasttrollMC, and many more have commented on this occasion, saying "We will miss our favorite game."
