New Study Suggests that Utensils at Rental Properties Are Contaminated

First, it was Tide Pods. Then it was ice-cream. Now a new study suggests that most eating utensils provided by vacation rental properties have been licked and left behind by previous renters.
Researchers from the University of Florida conducted tests on eating utensils found at 432 rental properties in the Miami area. What they found was surprising.
"87 of the utensils tested positive for human saliva," stated Dr. Philip Westover. "This suggests that renters should always wash their utensils before using them. We are confident that this study extends to most other rental properties across the U. S."
The saliva on the utensils was found to contain traces of Hepatitis, Strep Throat, Scabies, Cat-Scratch Fever, and Girl Cooties.
Vacationers are warned to thoroughly clean all eating utensils before using them.
