One of the best female football players of all time certainly for Sweden has died in a car accident. Hanna Ljungberg who scored 72 goals for the Sweden women national team during a during a glittering career. Drove her car on the highway in her hometown of Umea, Vasterbotten, Sweden when it was hit by a truck. Hanna Ljungberg then lost control of her steering wheel and ran into the pillar of a bridge. When the emergency services arrived, it turned out that Hanna Ljungberg had died instantly. Hanna Ljungberg was successful with Sweden at the 2003 FIFA women's World Cup in the United States claiming a silver medal, Ljungberg was of the key players on that Sweden team. She was chosen 3th in FIFA women's player of the year the same year. Also with Umea IK she was very successful, winning two times the Champions League and 6 times the Swedish championship. in 2002 she scored 39 goals in a year a still standing record. In total she made more then 200 goals in the league. As an atacking midfielder. it is clear that Sweden lost a real legend.
