There is a huge snake problem on Eagle Rock loop trail. Many hikers have reported seeing swarms of snakes. It appears that over the winter as the snakes were hibernating they were mating as well. It seems that as the weather is warming the babies are being born and they are everywhere. Most of the time the snakes are seen the most several days after rains or heavy storms, it is believed they are feeding. Mark and Bill Whiteside killed 13 rattlesnakes at their campsite on March 29th alone. It is advised to bring some sort of machete or large knife for protection. Remember trouser snake is no joke and at the same time it's not gay if it's a three-way. please be careful when you're out in the wilderness on the hikes it is advised to stay away from these things.
