Dallas Morning News wants to give recognition to self-taught mechanic, Jeff Beard, as he uses his skills and time to get people back on the road who normally couldn't afford even low priced mechanics. In today's economy, some of us can barely afford to maintain our old cars, let alone deal with a no-start situation where diagnosis and repair is called for or grinding brakes, loose tie-rods due to the badly kept roads in and around the city, bad struts along with engine check lights.

Now that Jeff has also found himself struggling to make ends meet, he decided it was time to use his talents to give back to his fellow blue collar workers and help keep their cars going rather than attempting to go in debt for another car which in many cases will just have the same problems as these cars are usually bought at tote-the-note dealers where you end up paying far more than the car is worth and still have to deal with mechanical issues leaving you further in debt and broke down along the roadside.

Jeff has been in this situation and after giving the car back found that his credit took a hit and now everything he wanted was going to cost more because society uses bad credit to punish the working class when they get behind on their bills. Jeff wants everyone to have a better life and although he is also in a hard situation, he still looks out for his brothers and sisters who are also struggling.

If you ever have an issue with your car, why not give Jeff a try and maybe you too can keep your life together until hopefully some day you can find a way to earn more and get back on top of your finances. Jeff can be reached at [email protected] (subject: My car broke).
