Caso aconteceu na cidade de Guarujá litoral de São Paulo. Turista estava mergulhando em uma praia popular conhecida como Pitangueiras, quando avistou a aproximação de um tubarão, e ao tentar fugir foi atacado e teve sua perna descepada. Vítima foi socorrida pelo helicóptero da policia militar e levada ao hospital municipal. Ataques de tubarão é comum nesta época do ano, principalmente pela temperatura da aguá e maré alta.
